This work draws inspiration from the intricate arches and windows of mosques, showcasing the beauty of traditional Islamic architecture through the use of Art Nouveau. The top two images are of Pâte de Verre motifs; drawing from Turkish designs, with deep, layered blues that fade into a soft, pale centre. The flowing, ornamental form feels both traditional and contemporary, showcasing the subtle textures and translucency that Pâte de Verre captures so beautifully.
The centrepiece features a cylindrical form with a relief pattern that incorporates historic motifs, using a palette inspired by classic clay-built mosques. Creams blend with vibrant turquoise and green hues, while deep blues evoke the influence of Turkish design.
